Hello all,
Here is a short update from your local policing team detailing some of the good work that is taking place in Forest Gate.
On Tuesday our team attended Woodgrange Library for one of our drop in sessions. We spoke to residents and staff about concerns and our plans to tackle the issues.
We also carried out some patrols around Forest Gate Community School at the end of the school day. We spoke to students and staff about safety given the darker evenings are drawing in earlier.
On Thursday afternoon, the team met with MP Uma Kumaran and joint patrols were conducted in our known anti-social behaviour hotspot areas.
On Thursday evening officers were on proactive patrols around Romford Road. Officers noticed a group of five people who were causing anti-social behaviour and approached them. One of the males present was wanted for a serious assault and he was arrested. The male was later arrested for 6 further offences. The other four individuals were dealt with appropriately and dispersed from the location.
On Friday afternoon, our team came across a road traffic incident with an injured casualty. Road closures were put in place on Romford Road E7. Officers provided first aid and conveyed the casualty to hospital along with the London Ambulance Service where they are receiving care. We hope that they make a speedy recovery. On that note, this highlights the importance of road safety.
If you have any concerns or would like advice from our team then please drop us a message.
Take care, Forest Gate North Safer Neighbourhoods Team | ||
